Podakahani will launch annual Draw A Tree competition. The event initially will be held in Lahore and with the expansion of our volunteer force, we will take it to other cities and small towns as well. Podakahani also believes in necessity of awareness in rural areas as well. Our teams, with the help of our volunteers will organize such competitions in distant villages as well, engaging girls and boys equally to participate in the event.
Draw a Tree Competition will have following features:
- Bringing families together, resulting in real-time social impact on both family bonding and environment protection.
- 1st 3 winners amongst each category of the competition will be awarded certificates & cash prizes.
- Special awareness sessions on “Why do we need trees” covering variety of topic and concerns related to global warming, climate change, urban flooding, smog and much more.
- Bringing onboard environmental specialists highlighting importance of Urban Forestation in particular and Tree plantation in general.
- Engagement of kids and grownups alike at grassroot level.
- Tree plantation drive associated with the competition will be an annual thing.
